Welcome to the 2009 National Alpine Ski Camps Photography FAQ for Brian W. Robb - Photography. Since 1983 I have photographed Mt Hood summer skiing and made images available for you to purchase. This FAQ should answer most of your questions regarding photography ordering. Please contact me at: brian@brianrobbphoto for any further explanations. 2.1. Where can I see my photos?

Photos from the 2009 National Alpine Ski Camps are viewable at: brianrobbphoto.com/nasc_x_2009. Follow the link to your session's photos or simply replace the "x" with the appropriate session number

2.2. How do I order photos?

For most campers, you have received proof photos and an order form in the mail. While I try to get photos out soon after your session is over, it may take a few weeks in the height of the season. Thanks for your patience!

To order photos, simply fill out the order form and mail it with your check to: Brian W. Robb - Phototography, BX 1223, Hood River OR 97031. Each photo has a unique number associated with it. Payments must be in US Dollars, therefore foriegn payments must be in a US Dollar draft drawn on a US bank or a US Dollar money order.

2.3. Can I pay with a credit card?

Through the service offered by PayPal, I am now able to accept credit card payments. There is no additional charge to you for using PayPal.

It is easy to send your credit card payment via PayPal. Please follow these steps:

(1) Set up an account with PayPal at: http://www.PayPal.com

You may use VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express (except American Express Corporate Card).

(2) Complete the order form for camp photos and determine the order amount.

(3) Sign in to PayPal.

(4) Click the "send money" tab at the top of the PayPal page.

(5) On the "send money" page.

(A) enter: brian@brianrobbphoto.com in the recipient block.

(B) Enter the amount of the order.

(C) Select US Dollars as currency.

(D) Select Goods(other) as payment type.

(E) For subject, enter the skier/snowboarder's name and any one of the action photo numbers (i.e., Bobby Smith, 98-W-0001). This allows me to associate the incoming payment with the database file.

(F) In the Note field, enter any other information you wish.

(6) Click continue & follow the instructions to complete your order.

(7) Mail your order form to: Brian W. Robb, BX 1223, Hood River OR 97031.

(8) I will start your order going when I receive your order form. If an e-mail address is listed on the order form, I will acknowledge the receipt of your order and payment.

2.4. Can I order online?

At the present time, I do not offer direct online ordering. I must receive the order form in the mail in order to process your order. I am able to offer you many options using the order form system.

2.5. Completing the order form

I offer photographic prints in the following sizes: 5 X 7, 8 X 10, 11 X 14, and a 20 X 30 poster. I also offer two digital files. The low resolution digital file is about 100kb. The file size is suitable for web pages, facebook, and e-mailing, but will not yield satisfactory prints. The high resolution file is the full file produced by my Canon professional digital camera. You can make prints up to 30 X 40 without difficulty. All digital files have been optimized for maximum quality.

Mounting options:

Mat mounting and ColorPlak mounting are offered. With mat mounting, the photo is dry mounted on a standard size mat board (i.e. the 5 X 7 on an 8 X 10 mat, 8 X 10 on 11 X 14, and 11 X 14 on 16 X 20). The mat mounting will require framing.

The ColorPlak mount is a popular complete framing option. The 5 X 7, 8 X 10, or 11X 14 photo is laminated onto a 3/8 inch, pressed wood board. The board has a black painted beveled edge. The photo is protected by a spray coating. The ColorPlak is ready to be hung on the wall immediately.

Logos and custom captions are also available. The logo is the NASC logo with the year. The captioning is whatever you would like (for example: " Bobby Jones rips a summer GS course on Mt Hood").

There is also a "group special" option. The group special is a logo/caption combination. It contains the NASC logo, year and session. The group special option applies only to group photos.

IMPORTANT PRICING NOTE:

All options are additional and the option prices must be added to the base price to arrive at the total. For example, to order a 5 X 7, Colorplak mounted, with the group special option, the price is $58 ($18 + $37 +$3).

Shipping charges:

A shipping charge must be included with ALL orders except orders that are only for low resolution digital files that will be e-mailed to you. High resolution digital files will be sent on a CD and therefore will incur the shipping charge. The base shipping charge is $6. Shipping for posters is $6 per poster. Overseas shipping charges are higher and are detailed on the overseas order form.

Discount:

There is a 10% qualntity discount for ordering 3 or more items. The discount is taken off the subtotal before the shipping charge is added.

2.6. Important notes about digital images

All prices are per image. Digital images are not available for group or scenic photos. Low resolution files are only suitable for web use, facebook, and e-mailing and will not make satisfactory enlargements. High resolution files are a good option when you have an image that you really like and want to use it many ways. A note is sent with the digital files that gives you reproduction rights for personal uses.

I never give out your personal information. I request your phone number and e-mail address only in case I have to contact you about your order.

Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery, although times are often shorter.

2.9. Terms and Conditions

All photos, whether in physical or digital format, are for personal uses only. Reproduction is prohibited for photographic prints. Digital images may only be reproduced for personal uses. No editorial or commercial uses are allowed.

Copyright overlays are removed from all prints and digital files that you purchase.
